SPECIAL NOTE FROM PASTOR JIM SPERRY...
We
view our work as a path of ministry. Our purpose on this path, and the process
in which we all try to walk, includes three major steps.
First, we are fully convinced
that the Lord desires all of us to delight in Him. We have come to
understand that "God is most
glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him."
Throughout Scripture it is emphasized that God is to be enjoyed.
Psalm 34:8
states "Oh taste and see that the Lord is good!"
We are serious about enjoying God--He is our treasure and delight!
Second, those who enjoy God should
love one another. Romans 12:5 tells us that Christians are "members one of
another."
Based on that fact, the New Testament is filled with
commands of how God wants believers to treat one another (e.g., love one
another -- Romans 12:10a, honor one another--Romans
12:10b, accept one another--Romans 15:7, instruct one another--
Romans 15:14, greet one another-- Romans 16:16, etc.)
God's design is to use each of us to "build up one another."
Third, enjoying God and loving one
another includes a passion for wanting to see others come to God through Jesus
Christ.
We think of this as serving the world! Jesus
Christ commanded us to make disciples of all kinds of people (Matthew 28:19-20).
We want to have the kind of ministry
in which people enjoy God, love one another, and serve the world by reaching
unbelievers
for Jesus Christ.
It would be a joy to include you in
this kind of work! Please feel free to contact us with any questions you
have about our work.
