We believe
...in
the authority and sufficiency of the Bible
. . . the inspired and
only infallible and authoritative
written Word of God.
. . . that there is only
one God . . . that in the unity
of the Godhead there are
three Persons—
the Father, the Son, and
the Holy Spirit.
. . . in the deity of our
Lord Jesus Christ; in His virgin birth;
in His sinless life; in His vicarious
and atoning death;
in His bodily
resurrection; in His ascension
to the right hand
of the Father,
in His personal future
return to this earth in
power and glory to rule a
thousand years.
. . . in the blessed
hope—the rapture
of the Church at Christ’s
coming.
. . . that faith in the
Lord Jesus Christ is the
only condition of
salvation.
. . . that justification
is the judicial act of God whereby
He declares the believer
righteous upon the basis
of the imputed
righteousness of Christ.
. . . in the sanctifying
power of the Holy Spirit
by whose indwelling
the Christian is enabled
to live a holy life.
. . . that all who are
truly born again
are kept by God the
Father for Jesus Christ.
. . . that a local church
is an organized
congregation of baptized (immersed) believers
. . . that the true
mission of the church is the
faithful
proclaiming of Christ to all people.
. . . in the resurrection
of both the saved and the lost
—the one to everlasting
life and the other to
everlasting conscious
hopelessness.

A
Place for Friendship
Nothing compares to the
joy of true Christian fellowship.
That’s why we make it a priority
to build lasting genuine commitments
to one another.
Best of all, this circle is ever-widening.
We’d like it to include you, too!
A Place for Learning
Studying the Bible is vital
because
it is the Word of God
that shows us the truth and shapes
us to live God’s way.
John MacArthur states:
“If God is our ultimate authority and
His character is flawless,
and if He inspired the writers of Scripture
to put down His thoughts while still
allowing
them freedom of personal expression, then the
Bible is flawless and it becomes our
ultimate authority
—our only rule for faith and practice”
(Why Believe the Bible, © 1980,
page 9).
A Place for Development
Rick Warren explains that we
“were created to become like Christ
. . . God’s ultimate goal for your life on earth is
not comfort, but character development”
(The
Purpose Driven Life, © 2002, pages 171, 173).
At FBC there is something for everyone —
special development ministries for children,
teens, and adults.
At FBC there is more than one place
where you can be personally enriched.
A
Place for Service
Just as Jesus Christ
“did not come to be served, but to serve”
(Matthew 20:28),
we joyfully look for opportunities
to reach out
in service to others. This applies both within
the
church family and outside our fellowship, as
well.
A
Place for Worship
John Piper writes,
“the chief end of man is to glorify
God
by enjoying Him forever”
(Desiring
God, © 1996, page 15).
When we meet for corporate worship,
it is in the context
that we are coming together to continue
what we have been doing all week long
— worshiping God.
